ARLIS/NA SoCal Chapter Judith A. Hoffberg Travel Award
Emilee Mathews, Research Librarian for Visual Arts, UC Irvine
At this year’s conference, Emilee has a full plate! As a member of the Communications and Publications Committee, Emilee will be presenting the year’s activities of the Multimedia & Technology Reviews (MT&R) publication as well as soliciting applications for one of the MT&R editorial positions at an exhibits booth. Emilee will also be moderating the Academic Libraries Division meeting and finally, will be co-presenting a poster based on original research about digital humanities, information science, and new media.
ARLIS/NA SoCal Chapter Student Travel Award
Erin Hurley, MLIS Candidate, UCLA, 2015
Erin is a second year MLIS student at UCLA and this will be her first time attending the ARLIS/NA Annual Conference. Erin is a Reference Desk Assistant at the UCLA Arts Library and an intern at LACMA’s Balch Research Library. In addition to her membership in the ARLIS/NA SoCal Chapter, Erin is also president of the UCLA student chapter of the Special Libraries Association and The Horn Press at UCLA, a club dedicated to letterpress and book arts. Erin hopes to serve as an ARLIS/NA SoCal Chapter officer in the future.
